Cohesion Press

Cohesion Press is an award-winning press based in Australia.

We have some of the biggest names in the military and action-based speculative fiction scene publish with us.

We recently underwent some structural changes, and now we only publish anthologies of action-based horror, military horror, and military sci-fi.

Our flagship series SNAFU is released annually, with SNAFU: Punk'd due out October 2023.

We collaborate with Tim Miller/Blur Studio and Netflix on the Netflix Original™ series Love, Death & Robots.

We have published some of the best writers in the business, including Jonathan Maberry, Weston Ochse, Joseph Nassise, Jeremy Robinson, Kane Gilmour, SD Perry, James A Moore, Greig Beck, and Matt Hilton.

Co-director and Acquisitions Editor

Geoff Brown

Geoff is an award-winning Australian writer and Australian Shadows Award finalist-editor raised in Melbourne’s gritty Western Suburbs. He is a trained nurse, and holds a Cert. IV in Professional Writing and Editing, as well as a Dip. Arts (Professional Writing and Editing).
Geoff writes fiction across various genres, and is the author of many published short stories. He has had numerous articles published in newspapers, both regional and metropolitan.
He is the past president of the Australian Horror Writers Association (2011-2013), as well as the past director of the Australian Shadows Awards.
He owns Cohesion Press, an award-winning Australian publishing house focused on fast-paced military horror, and currently works with Tim Miller, director of Deadpool, as a senior story consultant.
He is also the owner of Asylum Ghost Tours.

Editor-in-Chief

Amanda J Spedding

Amanda is a professional editor and award-winning author whose stories have been published in local and international markets earning honourable mentions and recommended reads.
She won the 2016 Australian Shadows Award (written work in a comic/graphic novel) for The Road to Golgotha (with GN Braun), and the 2011 Australian Shadows Award (short fiction) for her steampunk-horror, Shovel-Man Joe. She is the editor-in-chief for all Cohesion Press publications and co-editor of the highly-acclaimed SNAFU series.
Amanda holds a Diploma of Publishing (Professional Book Editing, Proofreading & Publishing), Certificate in Editing, and has been working in the industry for over six years, specialising in genre fiction. Amanda lives in Sydney with her sarcastically-gifted husband and two very cool kids.

Dawn Roach

Dawn has completed her BA in Humanities and Social Sciences, with a major in English Literature. She has begun her Masters in Creative Writing, and holds a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing full of Distinctions and High Distinctions.

The Australasian Horror Writers Association (AHWA) is a non-profit organisation formed in 2003. The AHWA provides a community and unified voice for Australasian writers of dark fiction, fostering the evolution of the genre within Australia.
